Following the transfer of the iconic Alpina brand to BMW, the Bovensiepen family has no plans of slowing down as they embark on a new chapter with the unveiling of the 05 GT, its second bespoke model after the limited-production Zagato coupe introduced in 2025.

Hand-built in Bavaria on the foundations of the new BMW M5 Touring, this ultra-exclusive, super-estate embraces a cleaner, more refined aesthetic while retaining its performance credentials, courtesy of legendary McLaren P1 designer Frank Stephenson.

Designed in collaboration with renowned automotive designer Frank Stephenson, whose portfolio includes the McLaren P1 and Ferrari F430, the 05 GT adopts a more understated approach than BMW's aggressive M cars.

Exterior revisions include a redesigned front fascia with a cleaner intake layout, wider visual elements, new rear air ducts, and a continuous black accent strip that runs from the nose to the tail. The rear end is further simplified with concealed parking sensors and quad Akrapovič titanium exhaust outlets positioned farther apart to emphasize width.

Under the hood, the BMW M5 Touring's 4.4L, twin-turbocharged V8 plug-in hybrid remains, but adopts a revised intake system, recalibrated engine software, and a freer-flowing titanium exhaust.

The result is a healthy increase in performance, with output climbing to 800 PS and 1100 Nm of torque, up significantly from the standard M5 Touring. Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in under 3.6 seconds and a top speed exceeding 305 km/h.

To match the engine's explosive power, the chassis also benefits from aftermarket suspension upgrades, featuring custom Eibach springs, re-tuned adaptive dampers, new support bearings, and enhanced structural bracing. Rounding out the high-performance package are lightweight 21-inch, forged multi-spoke wheels wrapped in premium Pirelli rubber.

Inside, the 05 GT features handcrafted details such as a Lavalina leather steering wheel, aluminum shift paddles, and extensive personalization options. Buyers can also opt for a full Lavalina leather interior covering nearly every cabin surface.

Hand-built in Buchloe, Germany, the Bovensiepen 05 GT will be produced in highly limited numbers, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin late this year. Pricing starts at £ 171,125 in the UK or approximately € 198,900 in Germany or PHP 13,864,239 before options and taxes, positioning it as an exclusive alternative for enthusiasts seeking luxury, performance, and subtlety in one ultra-fast super estate.
