Tour De Cebu historic rally returns Sept 29 to Oct 3, 2022
The classic car rally is back after a two-year hiatus
The Tour de Cebu was conceptualized as a celebration of a decade of friendship formed and shaped by the open road but has blossomed into a major driver for road tourism. It highlights the beautiful roads and highways as well as the many scenic spots that the Visayan islands have to offer.
Since then, it has captured the imagination of many classic car enthusiasts and fans which made it one of the top annual local motorsport events to look forward to.

After a two-year hiatus, the Tour De Cebu is back. From September 29 to October 3, classic car enthusiasts will take part in the country's only 1,000-kilometer touristic and historic car rally organized by the Performance and Classics Enthusiasts (PACE) of Cebu and the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC). The official announcement was made at the Manila Polo Club where some of the actual participating cars from Manila were also displayed.

Unlike the World Rally Championship where participants race to achieve the fastest time, Tour de Cebu is a regular rally that sees teams using their navigational skills to reach checkpoints in a pre-defined time. Penalty points are given to those who arrive too early or late at the said checkpoints. The winner will be the team with the lowest penalty score.

Tour de Cebu is open to sports cars manufactured in 1972 or prior. This means, classic examples such as the 1968 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 1965 Porsche 912, 1970 Lancia Fulvia Zagato, 1968 Mercedes Benz 280 SL, 1960 Porsche 356B Cabriolet, 1972 Datsun 240Z, and 1969 BMW 2002, among others, make the Tour de Cebu both a historic rally and a rolling museum at the same time.

Eligible sports cars are based on the official list compiled by the Manila Sports Car Club. However, PACE grants limited exceptions for classic cars that pose high historic value or unique provenance in the country as well as run-on sports car models, or cars that had their manufacturing periods extend beyond the 1972 cut-off date.

Tour de Cebu is sponsored by Petron Blaze 100 Euro 6, Vintage Grail, BE Resort, NUSTAR Resort and Casino, FASTCAT, Johnny Air Cargo, 103.5 Retro Cebu, Nature Spring, Span Asia Carriers, ERUF, Cinco Automotive, Nice Day Carwash, and Toyota Team Cebu.
