Suzuki gives the Vitara a drivetrain upgrade with a new all-wheel-drive AllGrip version
The Suzuki Vitara has just been given an important upgrade. Instead of just having a traditional front-wheel-drive system, the automaker has given it an all-wheel-drive system called AllGrip. Now aimed towards the likes of the Subaru XV, the Vitara AllGrip now comes with four selectable driving modes - Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock. Depending on the terrain, the AllGrip system will ensure all wheels have available grip all the time. As before, a 1.6-liter, naturally-aspirated inline-four powers the Vitara and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
