Hyundai Ioniq

It took some time, but Hyundai finally decided to bring the Ioniq hybrid car to the Philippines. Thanks to the new excise tax, the Ioniq is perhaps the most affordable hybrid in the country with a sticker price of less than Php 1.5 million. Aimed squarely against the likes of the Toyota Prius, the compact Ioniq blends both sporty design and smooth shapes. Power is provided by a 1.6-liter gasoline four-cylinder that is helped along by an electric motor. It is then hooked up to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.
