Motul Drag Master Cup 2024: Nearly 300 racers compete for 1/4 mile glory
Here are the quarter-mile kings at this year's Motul Drag Master Cup
The smell of burning rubber and high-octane fuel filled the air as drag racing action was back in full swing for this year’s edition of the Motul Drag Master Cup.
Motul Philippine distributor Infiniteserv International Corp. once again organized motorsport events in safe and legal venues to encourage enthusiasts to take racing off the streets while promoting sportsmanship and camaraderie in the drag racing community.
Putting their skills and machines to the test in the quarter mile, the weekend-long event at Clark International Speedway saw nearly 300 competitors race in the Diesel, Hotstreet, Sportsman, Novelty, Supercar, Pro, Super Pro classes.

Day 1 of the competition saw racers in the Diesel, Hot Street, Sportsman and Novelty class take to the quarter mile where Drew Manio, Edmund Aspa, and Mark Martin Pituc emerged as winners of the Diesel Class, finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively.

For the Hotstreet class, Jeffrey Juico took the win while Jing de Leon and Daniel Cariño finished 1st and 2nd runner up.
The Sportsman class saw Rafael Evangelista, Allan Pabustan and Mark Justine Mamangun take the podium places in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively.

In the Novelty class, Michael dela Cruz was the champion; John Carlo Munar finished 2nd and Jon Paul Galay took 3rd.

Meanwhile, the Pro and Super Pro classes featured more dedicated drag cars blazing the CIS quarter mile. Allen Roldan took top honors in the Pro Class, with Ronald Leander Yapo and Jonas Cajigal finishing in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

For the Super Pro class, Jonathan Tiu emerged as champion while 1st and 2nd runner-up places were awarded to Reymond Gaerlan and Patrick Ramos.

Motul Infiniteserv thanks its sponsors, participants, and media members that made the event a success. The next quarter mile challenge is set for December 14-15, 2024 at the 3rd Motul Race Wars which will also take place at Clark International Speedway.
