2024 Foton Tunland V9 4x2 AT

The Foton Tunland V9 is Foton Motor Philippines Inc (FMPI) first-ever hybrid pickup truck in the country. Power comes from a 2.0-liter Aucan turbo-diesel engine that is assisted by a 48V mild-hybrid system. It puts out an admirable 163 PS along with a hearty 450 Nm of torque.

Compared to the Thunder’s 2.0L engine, the Tunland V9 pickup makes an extra 2 PS along with an additional 70 Nm of pull. Power is then transferred to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Depending on the variant chosen, it can come in either 4x2 or 4x4 guises.

The T9 measures 5541 mm long, 2030 mm wide, and 1905 mm tall. The two also have a generous 3355 mm wheelbase, a ground clearance of 240 mm, and a curb weight of 2,200 kg. Suspension-wise, it comes with double wishbones at the front with a multi-link at the back for added comfort as it rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 265/70 series tires.
