Last week, Volkswagen Philippines announced that the Multivan 'Kombi' will be making a comeback and is set to arrive in Q3 of 2021. Immediately after announcing its return, people have been clamoring for more details regarding the people carrier's specs.
While the automaker has yet to reveal official specifications, the Multivan is already in the country. Available for viewing at Volkswagen BGC, interested customers that want to take a closer look at the new people carrier can now visit the showroom via an appointment.

Based on the photos, the Multivan will be available with two-tone exterior paint, LED headlights and taillights, and a stylish set of alloy wheels. As for the interior, the Kombi has captain chairs in the second row, and what appears to be three additional seats in the third row – making the Multivan a 7-seater vehicle.
Other features present on the Multivan are leather upholstery, a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, a dash-mounted gear selector, LED ambient lighting, a D-cut steering wheel, and cruise control.

There are no details regarding the Multivan's powertrain yet. However, it's most likely powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine. Horsepower figures could be range between 150 PS and 195 PS. Meanwhile, its transmission could be a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Some of you might be wondering where Volkswagen will actually source the upcoming Multivan. While some might have guessed it will come from China courtesy of SAIC, the T6.1 Multivan will actually come from Volkswagen AG themselves. That's right, the new Kombi will come from Germany instead of the People's Republic.
