Suzuki Jimny 5-Door previewed in Singapore ahead of PH launch
Before making its PH debut, Suzuki holds a special preview of Jimny 5 Door at 2024 Singapore Motor Show

We're only just a couple of weeks away from the launch of the Suzuki Jimny 5-Door in the Philippines. In fact, it was already spotted by an eagle-eyed photographer being tested somewhere in Rizal. We also managed to get insider info about its pricing which will reportedly start at around PHP 1.558 million.
With hype building around the Jimny 5-Door, Suzuki Philippines has its hands full for its official launch. Over in Singapore, however, they were able to get a first-hand look at the 4x4 ahead of the Philippine market.

Making an appearance at the 2024 Singaporean Motor Show is the Jimny 5-Door, and it's our best look yet at the upcoming SUV. Like the vehicle that was spotted just before the New Year, the red Jimny 5-Door on display is finished in red which makes it stand out from the rest. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the vehicle on display is left-hand drive.

Thanks to the added length and two extra doors, rear passengers can easily ingress or egress without having to fold the front passenger seat. However, don't expect the Jimny to be a 5-seater SUV as it still measures 1645mm wide just like the 3-Door version. As far as legroom is concerned, the 5-Door gets a bit more although only just.

Style-wise, the Jimny 5-Door features a unique fascia that covers the headlights, grille, and turn signals. Perhaps this is the automaker's way of making the 5-Door unique from the regular 3-Door variant of the Jimny.
When it comes to features, the 5-Door model gets similar levels of equipment as the 3-Door variant. That means we can expect the PH-spec version to get a touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control (on higher grade models), a multi-info display, and a wide array of safety features as standard.

Under the hood, the Jimny 5-Door will likely get the same 1.5-liter K15B four-cylinder engine that makes 105 PS with 138 Nm of torque. Transmission options, meanwhile, may include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic for the top-of-the-line variant.
With Singapore getting a first look at the Jimny 5 Door, those who plan on getting one here in the Philippines can get a closer look at the model currently on display in Singapore. Currently, Suzuki is conducting a market study on the SUV as a way to see if Singapore is a viable market for the Jimny 5 Door.
