Subaru BRZ STI Tuned gets plenty of goodies; will PH get it?
Sleeker and more dynamic Subaru BRZ gets STI goodies

Subaru is surely making its presence felt at this year's Singapore Motor Show. We already saw the WRX and WRX GT Editions, which amped up the sleek performance vehicles' looks. But there is one more vehicle that caught our attention.

That vehicle is the BRZ STI Tuned Edition, and boy is it loaded with STI goodies. While it still packs the regular 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated Boxer engine, its exterior gets a serving of carbon fiber, and then some.

Right off the bat, the spruced-up BRZ comes with a dry carbon rear spoiler that enhances the coupe's looks. Meanwhile, the wheel wells house stylish 18-inch STI alloys that highlight the BRZ's sporting pedigree. The bumpers have also been given attention as they now get a front lip spoiler, a rear diffuser, along with side skirts for extra curb appeal. Last but not least are the fender garnishes on the front.

While the exterior upgrade may only look cosmetic, Subaru claims the add-ons improve airflow as well as provide better downforce. In addition, the upgrades are aimed to lessen drag on the vehicle at high speeds. Interior updates are minimal although Subaru did say that it gets leather accents on the door cards, red contrast stitching throughout the cabin, and a perforated leather steering wheel.

Subaru distributor Motor Image is already accepting indent orders in Singapore. However, there's no word yet from Motor Image Pilipinas if they will be able to bring it here. Perhaps the Singapore Motor Show will serve as BRZ STI Tuned's jumping point in ASEAN before reaching other markets. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed that will be the case.
