MIAS 2026: MG Motor PH launches refreshed MG5
MG Motor PH reveals MG5 Prestige at 2026 Manila International Auto Show

The MG5 has consistently been one of MG Motor PH’s top-selling models. For 2026, the brand wants to keep that momentum by keeping its sedan fresh with some new updates.

Making its public debut at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show is the new MG5 Prestige, giving the popular sedan a fresh new face with some important new features added to its equipment list.

The most notable change lies in the MG5’s front fascia, as it looks more aggressive with the sharper-looking projector LED headlights combined with the new grille and front bumper combination. The body still retains its familiar shape, but MG has given the popular sedan a new set of 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels.

The interior has likewise been given a proper nip and tuck, courtesy of a new dashboard design that now houses a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other features include a reverse camera, rear A/C vents, USB charging ports, and a power sunroof to give the cabin a more upscale feel.

Other features of the MG5 Prestige are largely carried over from the current spec, which includes cruise control, four airbags, hill start assist, ISOFIX anchors, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Under the hood, the MG5 Prestige is powered by a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder DVVT gasoline engine that meets Euro VI emissions standards. It delivers 110 PS at 6,000 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm, paired to a CVT that drives the front wheels.
The 2026 MG5 Prestige retails for PHP 888,888, and is available in the following colors: Diamond Red, Phantom Black, Cosmic Silver, and Dover White.

To celebrate its launch, MG Motor Philippines is offering a special introductory promo of PHP 20,000 cash savings, a low downpayment offer starting at PHP 70,000, and one free PMS for a limited time only. The MG5 Prestige is now available for viewing and test drives at all authorized MG dealerships nationwide.
