LOOK: All-new Toyota Alphard spotted in the metal
New set of leaked pictures give us a better look at next-gen Toyota Alphard
A week ago, leaked pictures of what appears to be the all-new Toyota Alphard made their way online. This marks the first time we have seen what could be the next-generation luxury MPV after Lexus launched its more luxurious sibling, the second-generation LM.
Today, a new set of pictures of the new generation Alphard have just been leaked. And unlike last week's photos which were a mix of digital renderings and presentations from what looks like a product training session, the new photos show the MPV in the metal.

Apparently taken at what looks to be a Toyota facility, the all-new Alphard features what we already saw last week. However, the new photos give us a closer look at the MPV's redesigned exterior. Immediately, the distinct front fascia grabs your attention with its massive grille complete with unique grille inserts. Meanwhile, the tri-LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights further give the luxury MPV its unique identity.
Over to the rear and the MPV will have a new set of what looks like full-width OLED taillights. It will differ from the Lexus LM's curved design as it will have a more elongated shape complete with a blacked-out panel and chrome accents.
In terms of size, the next-generation Alphard will supposedly measure 4940mm long, 1850mm wide, 1880mm tall, and will have a 3010mm wheelbase. Compared to the outgoing generation, the new MPV will be 5mm shorter in length, 15mm lower in height, and will have a wheelbase that's 10mm longer. Width remains the same, however.

Powertrain options for the all-new Alphard are still a mystery. But it has been reported that it will be available with a 2.5-liter, naturally-aspirated inline-four that makes 205 PS with 250 Nm of torque and is paired to an e-CVT with 10 simulated ratios. It's also hinted that it could come with a hybrid version of the aforementioned 2.5-liter engine that's helped along by an electric motor – resulting in a total system output of 211 PS.
The next-generation Toyota Alphard will reportedly make its official debut this June in Japan. With that, we could expect other markets like the Philippines to get their hands on the luxury MPV later this year or the next.
