Remember when Suzuki launched the 2027 model year refresh of the XL7 earlier this year in Indonesia? Well, after making its ASEAN debut a few months ago, the refreshed 7-seater could soon be on its way to the Philippines.

Just recently, Suzuki Philippines Inc. received regulatory approval for two upcoming passenger vehicles that's powered by a 1462cc engine. This translates to a displacement of 1.5 liters, which is what the XL7 (and Ertiga) gets. With a reference mass of up to 1,140 kg, it’s almost similar in weight to the XL7, as well as the Ertiga 7-seater MPVs.

2027 Suzuki Ertiga

Like the current XL7 and Ertiga mild-hybrid models already available in the country, the 1.5L engine will likely continue to produce 103 PS with 138 Nm of torque. In addition, a choice between a 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual transmission will likely be the gearbox options available for the 2027 XL7 and Ertiga.

Style-wise, the 2027 XL7 and Ertiga MPVs get redesigned front fascias with a sportier and bolder grille, tweaked LED headlights on high-grade models, refreshed bumpers, new alloy wheel designs, an optional two-tone exterior paint, and updated LED taillights.

As far as the amenities are concerned, perhaps we can expect the 2027 Suzuki XL7 and Ertiga to be available with additional features like a 360-degree camera, a new touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity features for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, an Arkamys sound system, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a sleeker-looking dashboard.

Both the current-generation Ertiga and XL7 are already up there in years, but that hasn’t stopped Suzuki from giving the two MPVs a fresher look and more features. And since they’re already available in Indonesia, maybe Suzuki Philippines is getting ready to reveal both vehicles in the not-so-distant future.
