Here's what to expect in 2024 Hyundai Elantra N for PH
We get a closer look at the upcoming Hyundai Elantra N at 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show
Last week, Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc (HMPH) that they would debut their high-performance N brand in the country. It will be revealed at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) which will take place from April 4 - 7 at the World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center simultaneously.
Initially, we were expecting the automaker to bring the almighty IONIQ 5 N to this year’s MIAS. However, HMPH shared that they will instead be bringing something equally exhilarating, the Elantra N. That’s right, the recently refreshed turbocharged sports sedan has been confirmed to appear at the annual auto show.

So what can we expect from the high-performance sedan once it arrives in the Philippines? Well, we need not look far as Hyundai recently held the Elantra N’s ASEAN debut at the ongoing 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS).
First off, Hyundai gave the vehicle a sleeker look for its latest update. It comes with slimmer LED headlights, a bolder-looking front grille, and restyled lower air intakes. In addition, the updated Elantra N comes with sporty 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in low-profile tires and a new set of bumpers that make the vehicle stand out more.

Inside, the cabin remains mostly the same but it now has a revised steering wheel design. Mechanically, Hyundai has been busy giving the Elantra N better handling and ride comfort. It gets new engine mounts which reduce engine vibration, an updated steering system that makes handling more direct, urethane bushings in the rear suspension, and revised dampers.

Under the hood, the Elantra N will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out an impressive 280 PS and 392 Nm of torque. It can then be saddled to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox that drives the front wheels. Hyundai has yet to say what transmission the PH market will get but we won’t be surprised if they will offer both gearbox options.

With MIAS 2024 set for next week, we certainly cannot wait for the big reveal of the Hyundai Elantra N.
