Green GSM Philippines handed over 1,000 electric vehicles to its driver partners during its largest-ever Driver Partner Festival, held from September 12 to 14, 2026, as the company expands its electric taxi operations in the country.

The three-day event brought together thousands of current and prospective Driver Partners at The Tent in Las Piñas City and partner depots. Participants were able to test-drive VinFast electric vehicles, learn more about EV operations and policies, and get assistance with the registration requirements for transitioning to electric mobility.

The 1,000-unit handover marks the initial rollout of electric vehicles under Green GSM Philippines’ driver partner program. The company said the additional vehicles will expand its service capacity while giving drivers more options for operating electric vehicles.

Le Thi Thu Trang, CEO of Green GSM Philippines, said the company wants to support drivers moving toward electric mobility while creating more opportunities to improve their livelihoods.

“Through the Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival and Car Handover Week, Green GSM aims to accompany the driver community in its development and expansion while enhancing both quality and professionalism. We seek to create more livelihood opportunities for drivers to access optimized and efficient operating models that can significantly increase their earnings. At the same time, we expect the event to inspire and help lay the foundation for the next phase of green mobility development in the Philippines.”

Trang said Green GSM is also working to give drivers access to more efficient operating models while improving service quality and professionalism within its driver community.

The program builds on the partnership between VinFast and Green GSM and introduces a vehicle rental model for eligible Driver Partners. Initial investment starts at PHP 5,000, which the company said is intended to make it easier for drivers to enter electric vehicle operations.

Eligible drivers can choose between the four-seater VinFast Herio Green, also known as the VF 5, and the seven-seater Limo Green. Both are fully electric vehicles designed for mobility and service operations.

Green GSM said the vehicles can help drivers lower energy, maintenance, and servicing costs compared with gasoline-powered vehicles in the same segment. Support for pioneering Driver Partners includes free charging and VinFast warranty coverage of up to seven years or 160,000 kilometers for the Limo Green and VF 5/Herio Green.

The festival also marked the launch of the Global Green GSM Driver Partner Community in the Philippines. The group will serve as a platform where Driver Partners can exchange experiences, stay updated on policies and operating information, and connect with other members of the Green GSM ecosystem.

Members can share their experiences operating electric vehicles and providing mobility services, while also receiving updates on policies and other information relevant to their work.

Green GSM also provided assistance during the festival for drivers transitioning to electric vehicle-based services. Driver Partners were able to test-drive VinFast EVs and get information about operations, registration procedures, policies, and available benefits.

Green GSM currently operates electric taxi services in Metro Manila, Central Visayas, and Mindanao through its Green GSM Car and Green GSM Limo services. The latter is a seven-seater premium taxi offering. The company is also expanding partnerships with local taxi operators through different partnership programs as it grows its electric vehicle network in the Philippines.

Green GSM said it plans to continue adding vehicles and expanding its service network under its “5 Green Promises” program.
