There is no question that Geely Philippines wants to make up lost ground. 

The last few years since Geely Auto took over as a subsidiary have been fairly challenging, but unexpected windfalls in the form of sharp spikes in fuel prices may have given them the perfect opportunity. 

That’s why during the official-official launch of the 2026 EX2 BEV, Geely went all in. The launch wasn’t so much about the car, but about all kinds of discounts and freebies to win customers over. 

As we had reported from the Philippine International Auto Show earlier this month, the Geely EX2 is a cute battery electric vehicle in hatchback form that is being made available for the local market. There are two grades with the Pro and Max (we’re serious), though both are powered by the same 115 PS / 150 Nm electric motor and a 39.4 kWh LFP battery from CATL. Range is quoted at 325 km (WLTP) but their website says 395 km, though that is probably using another testing cycle.  

The SRP of the EX2 Pro is set at PHP 938,000 while the EX2 Max is set at PHP 1,038,000. Now here are the discounts. 

For customers who reserved prior to the event, Geely Philippines is providing an additional PHP 40,000 discount for both variants. That’s the preselling discount, and it means those who ordered before the event will get the vehicle for PHP 898,000 and 998,000 for the Pro and Max, respectively.

But wait, there’s more! Every customer gets 2 free PMS sessions they can avail within the first 2 years of ownership, as well as a PHP 10,000 special delivery gift (we don’t know what’s in it), a free portable AC charger, a free AC wall charger (no mention of installation fees), floor mats, and solar tint. Customers for the Max variant will also get a PHP 10,000 free Black Roof upgrade.

Here's where it gets a little unusual, as Geely announced some strange conditional discounts. On the board, they announced a limited time cash discount of additional PHP 5,000, but did not note if that was for cash buyers only. There is also a mention of a PHP 10,000 discount for customers who were unable to make a reservation; we’re not sure how that would apply either. 

Geely also announced a presale gift where customers who reserved PHP 5,000 will instead get a PHP 10,000 credit for their reservation. Or at least that’s how we understood it. Like we said: it’s an unusual array of discounts and “gifts” for customers. If you want to learn specifically what they meant, it seems like you’ll have to visit your nearest Geely dealership.
