Dear Maxus PH, please bring the 2021 T90 pick-up
2021 Maxus T90 shows off its massive front grille
Last year, we saw Maxus Philippines join the pick-up truck wars when they launched the T60. Powered by a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine, the T60 combines brutish looks with high-tech amenities available across the range.
In the future, however, the T60 could be replaced by a sleeker-looking model. It's dubbed the Maxus T90, and it was recently launched in China.

Unlike the T60's more rugged appearance, the T90 features a snazzy design dominated by a large chrome front grille, aggressive headlights, and muscular fender guards that house stylish 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior, meanwhile, has a crossover-like design. It has a digital instrument panel, a massive touchscreen infotainment system, and a restyled gear selector on the center console.
Two-tone leather upholstery is also available that further gives the T90 a more sophisticated look and feel. Finally, piano black trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as faux metal accents complete the T90's more upscale appearance.

Under the hood, the T90 uses a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that makes 218 PS and 500 Nm of torque. That makes the T90 slightly more powerful than the Ford Ranger Raptor that already makes 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque.

There's no word yet as to when the T90 will reach other markets outside China. We're hoping, however, that Maxus Philippines will bring the T90 to the country. The only question now is, what will become of the T60 should the T90 replace it? Either way, a pick-up packing almost 220 PS sounds like a treat.
