The 2013 Manila Auto Salon is just a few weeks away from now. Considered one of the biggest car shows in the Philippines, the event will happen from November 14 to 17 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia. The show will feature over 100 varieties of customized vehicles coming from all over the country.

There will be lots of local shops that will be showing off their works in the 4-day event. Among them will be the 199 Off Road House, AToy Customs, Dr. G’s Car Clinic, Jeff’s Off Road Shop, ALX Customworks, and Auto Circuit Enterprise Co., Inc., Auto Junction, Autobots Paints and Bodyworks, and Car Porn Racing. Likewise there will be booths set up for automotive businesses and media groups.

But at the event of the event, picking the winners of the car show will boil down to the eyes of the judges. The set of judges for this year will be Pepon Marave, George Apacible, Charlie Cruz, Nilo Escalona, John Escobar, and Manila Auto Salon organizer and Tradeshow International President Sophie delos Santos. The line-up will be completed by new additions like Beeboy Bargas, Bernie Bayani, and Alex Claudio of Route 66 Real World Classics.

“One of the main challenges a judge needs to face is the creativity and craftsmanship of a piece of work, to be determined if this was tasteful, appropriate and effective in design. My best advice to the competitors is to build something from the heart, show your passion for the craft and dedication to the automotive spirit,” said judge John Escobar.

Tickets are priced at Php 100 for adults, Php 80 for senior citizens, and Php 50 for children ages 4-10 years old. Children below 4 years old are admitted for free. And as a support to the Bohol earthquake victims, Php 5 from every ticket sold will go to that cause.
