BAIC Philippines, under the United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), officially formalized its partnership with MG Gateway Mantrade Corp through a contract signing ceremony held on June 8, 2026, at the BAIC flagship showroom in North EDSA.

The partnership marks a major step in BAIC Philippines’ nationwide expansion as Gateway Group officially adds BAIC to its growing automotive portfolio. Known as one of the country’s largest and most established automotive dealer groups, Gateway Motors Group has built a strong presence in the Philippine automotive industry through its extensive dealership operations and commitment to delivering quality mobility solutions across multiple brands.

The contract signing was attended by executives from both organizations, including (L-R) Mr. Kenneth Sytin, vice chairman of UAAGI, Mr. Timothy Sytin, Brand Head of BAIC Philippines, Mr. Markane Goho, Chairman & CEO of MG Gateway Mantrade Corp., and Mr. Alvin Lu, General Manager of MG Gateway Mantrade Corp.

With it, Gateway Group is set to open new BAIC dealerships in Manila Bay, Taguig and Matina, Davao. These strategic locations are expected to strengthen BAIC’s footprint in key urban and regional markets while making the brand more accessible to a wider range of Filipino customers.

“Gateway Group coming on board tells us the demand is real, and we'd rather grow where people are already asking for us than get ahead of ourselves. Each new location is one more place a Filipino can get to know BAIC up close, and that's what keeps this moving,” said Timothy Sytin, BAIC Philippines Brand Head.

Apart from network expansion, the partnership also reflects the growing commitment of both organizations toward the continued electrification of mobility in the Philippines. As consumer demand steadily shifts toward modern and sustainable transportation, BAIC Philippines and Gateway Group aim to support the market’s transition through the introduction and expansion of hybrid, electric, and new energy vehicle offerings.

This includes BAIC’s new energy lineup, such as the B30e Dune Hybrid, B40e Trailmaster rEV, B60 Beaumont Diesel Hybrid, and the B60e Beaumont rEV, which represent the brand’s push toward electrified mobility solutions in the local market.

The upcoming dealership openings in Manila Bay, BGC Taguig, and Matina, Davao are expected to contribute significantly to BAIC Philippines’ long-term growth strategy while supporting the increasing demand for technologically advanced and electrified mobility solutions in the country.
