Alpine shows off A110 Legende GT for 300 unit limited run
The sportscar we wish was sold here
If there's one brand we wish was offered here, it's Alpine.
Aside from being a new Formula 1 team this season, the French marque is known for building the small A110 sports car. By small, we mean small: the A110 measures 4,178 mm long, 1,798 mm wide, and 1,252 mm tall, making it shorter than a Toyota 86 and only a tad longer than an MX-5
Going back to their road cars, err car, Alpine only offers one model – the A110. To make up for having only one vehicle, the automaker offers several variants of the A110 each oriented for different purposes – Pure, Legende, and S. The pure is effectively the “base” model, the Legende is a grand tourer, and the S is the most powerful of the bunch. But Alpine decided to add a new limited edition variant, combining the Legende and S. Meet the A110 Legende GT.

On the outside, it looks very much the same as any A110. The biggest tell would be the exclusive 18-inch Grand Prix wheels finished in pale gold with matching gold calipers. Then there's the color. Legende GT is available in either Mercury Silver or Abyss Blu. Other details include translucent rear lights.

Step inside, and it lives up to the “GT” in its name. There are six-way adjustable Sabelt leather seats that are finished in either amber or black with matching leather door panels. To add a sporty touch, there are carbon fiber accents all around. Since it is a limited edition, there's a numbered plate below the center console.

Powering the Legende GT is a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder turbo mill from the A110S, good for 292 HP and 320 Nm torque. It's not that powerful, but the A110 does have lightweight as an advantage. As a result, 0 to 100 km/h takes only 4.4 seconds and the top speed is 250 km/h.

Only 300 units of the A110 Legende GT will be built, and they are exclusive to Europe. With that, the odds of us seeing one here is slim to none. But who knows, someone might decide to import one into the country, but it won't be cheap. Not by a long shot.
