It’s already been a couple of years since Jetour Auto Philippines launched the T2 SUV. First revealed with a 2.0L turbocharged engine in 2024, the automaker then followed it up with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain dubbed the i-DM, which was revealed at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

We’re halfway into 2026, and Jetour decided to pull a surprise by revealing the refreshed T2 SUV. Unlike the current version, which features a more rugged front fascia, Jetour decided to give the T2 a softer face while retaining the Defender-like design.

Immediately grabbing your attention are the round LED daytime running lights that surround the LED headlights. It also gets a redesigned grille that now features a lighting element that almost spans the entire front end. Even the front bumper was updated and given a more crossover-like design instead of the current rugged SUV-inspired look.

The rest of the vehicle also sees some mild changes, particularly the body-colored wheel arches, which used to be matte black to match the rugged aesthetics. Even the doors appear to have been updated to go with the crossover SUV-like makeover. The alloy wheels have also been redesigned, while the rear bumper is now body-colored. Carried over, however, are the LED taillights.

Hop inside, and the T2’s cabin was also slightly revised. While the architecture and layout relatively remains the same, Jetour made some minor tweaks to make it more ergonomic and up-to-date. While it’s not as macho as before, the interior now looks more like a luxurious SUV in terms of aesthetics, finish, and materials. From the diamond-quilted leather seats & panel inserts, to the cream-colored upholstery, as well as using more soft-touch materials, the T2’s updated interior ditches some of the pre-facelift’s ruggedness.

When it comes to amenities, the refreshed T2 is available with power-adjustable front seats with a massage function, a 23-speaker surround sound system, 256-color ambient lighting, wireless connectivity features from the 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charging pad, USB charging ports, front & rear center armrests, and a digital instrument cluster.

Under the hood, the Jetour T2 continues to be available with two powertrain options. First is the 2.0L turbocharged inline-four that’s paired to an AWD system. While output figures were not revealed, it likely continues to make 254 PS with 390 Nm of torque. New, however, is an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which replaces the previous 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch gearbox.

Next is the 1.5L turbo plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain, which now comes with more powerful dual electric motors. Not only that, Jetour says it now comes with an even bigger battery pack, which they claim gives the refreshed T2 up to 245 km of EV range. With a fully charged battery and a full tank of gasoline, Jetour says the T2 PHEV can do up to 1,400 km. Meanwhile, the dual electric motors generate a combined 782 PS and a whopping 835 Nm of torque.

With the refreshed and upgraded Jetour T2 now available in China, we’re curious as to when Jetour Auto Philippines plans to bring the updated SUV here.
